Friday shout out is 1 for 3 in its infancy. But we are going to keep at it! Today’s Friday Shout Out goes out to Craig Groeschel, senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv a multi-campus church that began in Oklahoma and is now growing into other parts of the country. Craig is not afraid to take risks in order to do a new thing in the name of the Lord.

I would be particularly interested, if you have the time or inclination, to get your thoughts on how the church can encourage the development of meaningful community and “watching over one another in love” through things like small group accountability. Since you’re a former baseball player, I know that hitting .250 is acceptable for a sharp fielding second baseman. So, no worries, right?!
Matt, Friday isn’t over yet! But, I did realize that getting a response from most any pastor on Friday is a long shot. I may have to rethink this and change it to Tuesday Shout Out… but then it loses the “fun factor” of having it be on Friday. Ultimately, you are right, as a former second baseman, if my glove was working a 1 for 4 night wasn’t all bad.
