Happy Easter! Christ is risen!
I wanted to share something I am doing this Sunday (April 12) at Asbury Church. If you live near Tulsa, I hope you’ll come.

We have been reading through the Bible this year at Asbury using the One Year Bible. At Asbury, we are a Bible reading church. And it hs been really fun to take on the challenge of reading through the entire Bible together this year.
I also know the Bible can be confusing. I want to give you a short, memorable overview of the Bible. This Sunday from 10:15-11:00 (between the 9am and 11am services, so it does not conflict with Discipleship Communities) in the CLC I will give a short and engaging overview of the first 5 books of the Bible, Genesis through Deuteronomy.
If you have not joined us in reading the Bible this year, this is also a great opportunity to start. We start Joshua tomorrow, and so Sunday’s class will be a great opportunity to catch up on the story so far. You can just jump in on April 12ths reading on Sunday and go with us from there. After this session, you will be perfectly set up to jump in with us and start reading the Bible that Sunday in the book of Joshua.
You will also receive a bookmark with a two-minute summary of the entire Bible. I have put a lot of work into this and am looking forward to teaching this material. I would love to see you on Sunday at Asbury!
P.S. Rev. Andrew Forrest, Asbury’s Senior Pastor, and Rodney Adams, Asbury’s Executive Director, start a weekly podcast that tracks the Year through the Bible readings. Check it out here.
