Check out Libby Myrin’s guest blog entry at Swerve.LifeChurch.tv.
Libby is a dear friend who was the maid of honor in Melissa and I’s wedding. She also threatened to hurt me at the rehearsal dinner if I didn’t take good care of Melissa. That is what best friends are for, and those are words I have never forgotten. I mean, I still wake up in a sweat in the middle of the night sometimes…
Libby writes about the importance of taking life and our walk with God one day at a time. She encourages us to focus on today and be faithful in what matters most. Check our her post and say hello.
Thanks so much, Kevin! I’m excited to see you have a blog. I’ve actually created one but have not told people about it yet. ๐ I feel a strong desire to start one but I find myself talking myself out of it because I don’t want it to be stupid. ๐ I know, I’m silly. But once I get mine up and running I’ll holler!
Libby- Thanks for stopping by. I understand your hesitancy, I have wrestled with that. And to be honest, I still do. Sometimes I wonder, who am I writing this to? What is my purpose in doing this? Often, my real motivation is to get traffic and exposure. Because that makes me feel good. When I realize that, usually I don’t post what I was going to. My hope is that somehow this blog helps people to encounter God and to realize that Christ calls us to be deeply committed Christians. In some ways it is about trying to help people enter into deeper conversation about what it means to be a Christian.
All that is to say that my sense is that your blog would be a valuable contribution to the conversation.
Blessings!
